Maine Clubs to Run 130 Miles to See Marathon Movie
With the documentary film Spirit of the Marathon showing at only one Maine theater as part of its January 24 nationwide premier, members of two Maine running clubs, Spudland Racers and Crow Athletics, have decided to run the approximately 130 miles from Bar Harbor to Brunswick to see the film. The run will be conducted as a relay with each runner covering approximately 20 miles before handing off to the next runner. The 'run to the movies' will begin at the Criterion Theater in downtown Bar Harbor at 1:30 a.m. and end at the Brunswick 10 Theater at approximately 7:00 pm just in time to buy popcorn for the 7:30 pm showing.
