On December 17th, the Maine Principals' Association convened an ad hoc committee to discuss measures designed to save school districts money given the current fiscal climate. One of the proposals of the ad hoc committee is to withdraw from New England Championship events. Many track and cross country coaches, athletes, and parents feel that this proposal is ill-considered and would not result in significant monetary savings for schools. read more HERE and get involved.
